Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a lightweight engineering polymer less brittle than PLA. Its better mechanical properties and ability to handle the higher temperatures make it useful for 3D printing without a fan.
With its lower coefficient of friction, it requires less force to extrude than PLA. This makes its extrusion characteristics better for small parts, but it has to be extruded at a higher temperature: anywhere from 215-250 degrees C (420 F to 480 F). It is strong. It is used to produce car bumpers and also to make Lego blocks.
This item is one pound of 1.75mm PVA filament in a bundle (no spool is included).
